Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re new to chiropractic care and are considering making an appointment, you likely have some questions. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we get asked here at Endeavor Health and Pain Management.
What should I expect during my first visit?
During your initial appointment, expect a comprehensive session that begins with a detailed conversation about your symptoms and medical history, lasting at least 20 to 30 minutes. We’ll cover your primary complaints and may schedule additional sessions if you have several issues.
A full systems review, including your general and family health, will be conducted to identify any underlying factors. A thorough physical examination will follow, including an assessment of the area that’s bothering you, neurological tests, and a general health screening.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
In the state of Washington, chiropractors are considered primary care providers, so you do not need a referral. You can directly schedule an appointment with us.
What forms of payment do you accept? Do you work with insurance?
We operate as a cash practice, and our clinic’s low overhead costs enable us to offer competitive rates. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards.
While we handle Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance, we do not accept private health care insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance.
What options or alternative treatments are in place at your practice?
We understand that some patients may be apprehensive about adjustments. We offer various tools and techniques to accommodate different needs and conditions, including drop pieces on our tables and instrument-assisted adjustments like the ArthroStim®. Our approach is tailored to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for everyone.
Can chiropractic care assist with pregnancy-related and post pregnancy discomfort?
Absolutely. Chiropractic care has been shown to significantly aid in managing pregnancy related discomfort, helping expectant mothers manage symptoms of postural changes, increased weight , change in center of gravity, as well as a myriad of pregnancy induced conditions to help maintain comfort and well-being throughout their pregnancy. Following delivery many new moms continue to experience symptoms from body changes during pregnancy and may experience new symptoms post partum.
What types of chiropractic techniques are used?
Our practice utilizes a Diversified approach, incorporating the best techniques from various chiropractic methods. This includes the Active Release and Graston techniques for soft tissue work, alongside other modalities like instrument-assisted adjustments and laser therapy.
How many sessions are typically needed?
The number of sessions varies based on individual conditions, a patient’s general health and patient involvement in their care. Active participation and adherence to prescribed home exercises significantly influence the treatment’s effectiveness.
Do you recommend any at-home exercises?
We provide guidance on therapeutic exercises, which can be practiced at home or supervised in our rehab space at the clinic. These exercises are tailored to complement your treatment and enhance recovery.
How can patients schedule follow-up appointments or contact the clinic with questions?
Patients can use our two-way encrypted text messaging service, call, or email (with consideration for the non-encrypted nature of email) to schedule appointments or ask questions.
Does your practice offer additional therapies like massage or acupuncture?
While we don’t have massage or acupuncture services in-house, we offer a variety of therapeutic modalities, including laser therapy, cupping, and taping, to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
