Experience the Healing Effects of Cold Laser Therapy

dr-zahirra-mid-back-laser-therapy-diyTired of putting up with pain? Looking for a different way to boost your healing? At Endeavor Health and Pain Management, we offer cold laser therapy that gets incredible results for those with acute injuries, arthritis, repetitive strain injuries, minor fractures, ligament tears, tendon injuries, plantar fasciitis, golfer’s/tennis elbow and more.

“This is a great treatment option that we can offer that’s completely pain-free,” said Dr. Kara.

How Does It Work?

Cold laser therapy works by penetrating light into tissues and energizing cells’ mitochondria, increasing ATP production and allowing cells to do their tasks more effectively, such as reducing inflammation, promoting tissue repair, and enhancing healing.

This modality provides relief through pain modulation and anti-inflammatory effects, though the exact mechanisms are still being researched.

What to Expect

You will be given protective eyewear to put on for your session. The unit we use at the practice is small and compact, allowing Dr. Kara to move it around as needed. The unit has a wand that directs the energy of the laser to the specific area we’re treating. If we’re just addressing one body part, treatment is quick at between 3-6 minutes, but we book a minimum of 15 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt?

No! Laser therapy differs from other forms of relief because it is painless. Patients may only feel warmth.

Am I a candidate?

Dr. Kara will take a thorough history and perform an exam to identify if you’re a candidate for laser therapy.

How many sessions will I need?

Our chiropractor typically does a treatment protocol of three times a week for two weeks to start. Many patients notice a big difference after one session and feel significant improvement within two weeks of starting laser therapy.

Saying Hello to Relief

We love seeing patients get great results with laser therapy! For example, patients with rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis experienced significant pain reduction through laser therapy, even though the underlying conditions could not be cured. In this way can help patients reduce reliance on pain relieving medications and improve quality of life. Countless other patients with other minor injuries have recovered quickly and get back to what they love doing.
